The Civil Service Commission (CSC) now manages Hotline 8888 following the pronouncement of President Rodrigo R. Duterte when he conceptualized a centralized hotline number where citizens can report their complaints.


 Effective August 1, 2016, Hotline 8888, the people’s direct line to government, officially opened its line. It can now be accessed 24/7.

 It can be recalled that the Commission launched the Contact Center ng Bayan (CCB) 1-6565 in 2012 which serves as the “sumbungan ng bayan” or public feedback mechanism of the Philippine government in line with Republic Act 9485 or Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007. Hotline 8888 is also coursed through the same facility.
