The Fun Run has two (2) categories of 3K and 5K distances. Cash prizes awaits to the winners of the Fun Run while special awards shall also be given to participants.

The proceeds of this activity will be placed in the Pondong Pamanang Lingkod Bayan (PPLB), an endowment fund for the benefit of the families of civilian public officials and employees who died or were killed in the performance or pursuit of their duties and responsibilities as civil servants.
The Civil Service Commission issues accreditation to three (3) government employees’ organization in Western Visayas. These organizations are: the Carles Municipal Employees Association (CARMEA) of the Municipal Government of Carles, Iloilo; the New Makato Government Employees Association (NMGEA) of the Municipal Government of Makato, Makato, Aklan; and, the Iloilo State College of Fisheries Teachers and Employees Association, Inc. of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.

Director IV Sarmiento started his career at the Civil Service Commission in 1989 at the office of then CSC Chairperson Patricia Sto. Tomas. He afterwards transferred to the Social Security System (SSS) for five years, and spent the next fifteen years of his career in the private sector. On November 2003, he rejoined the Civil Service Commission as Special Investigator IV of the Office for the Legal Affairs (OLA) and subsequently with the Examination Recruitment and Placement Office (ERPO) in the CSC Central Office. In 2004, he was conferred the Career Executive Office Eligibility (CEO) after passing the Career Service Executive Officer Examination (CSEE).

Espina of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Area VI, Bacolod-Silay Airport and Police Officer I Joefel T. Odon of the Regional Mobile Force Batallion, Philippine National Police (PNP) Police Regional Office 6.
In CSC Resolution Nos. 1800447 and 1800458 promulgated on May 2, 2018 and June 5, 2018, respectively, the Commission resolved to provide a tribute for the late Mr. Espina and PO1 Odon, a scholarship grant in any of the PASUC-member state universities and colleges and one-time financial assistance of One-Hundred Thousand Pesos (P100,000) to their immediate families. This is in line with the CSC’s Pamanang Lingkod Bayani (PLBi) program.
