In CSC Memorandum Circular No. 01, s. 2018, the Civil Service Commission sees the agencies' pool of PRAISE awardees as a potential source of nominees to the 2018 Search for Outstanding Government Workers under the Honor Awards Program (HAP).
Heads of Agencies are encouraged to automatically nominate their PRAISE awardees to the 2018 Search and to honor their PRAISE winners in simple rites/program in September during the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary month celebration.

The Civil Service Commission announces the acceptance of nominations to the 2018 Search for Outstanding Government Workers. The conduct of the annual Search is mandated in the 1987 Philippine Constitution, Executive Order No. 292 or the 1987 Administrative Code, Executive Order No. 509, series of 1992, as amended by Executive order No. 77, series of 1993, and Republic Act No. 6713.
Relative to the commencement of the 2018 Search, ALL government offices are enjoined to display the banner (6 feet x 4 feet) not later than 29 January 2018 as prescribed by CSC Memorandum Circular No. 32, s. 2017 as part of the initiatives to disseminate information and promote the program.

The Regional Association of National Government Executives (RANGE) Region VI where CSC RO Director IV Rodolfo B. Encajonado serves as President, together with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) RO VI and West Visayas State University (WVSU), spearheaded the Multi-Sectoral forum on ASEAN on August 8, 2017 at the Cultural Center, WVSU, Iloilo City. Government officials and employees from various agencies as well as students and teachers from both public and private schools, some in their ASEAN-inspired costume, gathered in the forum. Fifty-nine (59) out of 405 examinees or 14.57% passed the Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO) conducted by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on May 21, 2017 in nine regions.
Ma. Filonila Alcaraz from the National Capital Region (NCR) garnered the highest rating of 90.81 from this batch of hopefuls.Read more
In light of the current state of hostility in Marawi City, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has suspended the conduct of the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) at the Iligan City Testing Center scheduled on August 6, 2017. The suspension covers both Professional and Sub-professional levels of the said exam.
Around 1,000 examinees are assigned to take the CSE-PPT at the Iligan City Testing Center. Majority of them comes from Marawi City.
The CSC advised all examinees affected by the said suspension to standby for further advisories on the resetting of the examination, which shall be posted on the CSC website.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) celebrates “Dekada na ang ARTA,” after 10 years of implementation of Republic Act No. 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007, which was signed into law on June 2, 2007.
The ARTA aims to promote efficiency and transparency in government with regard to the manner of transacting with the public.
